The Chromebook Pixel is a touch-enabled Laptop running Google's Chrome OS. It weighs 1.52 kg and has a stunning 2560 by 1700 pixels 12.85 inch display. Unlike its predecessors this Chromebook comes with a lot processing power, offered by the Intel Core i5 Ivy Bridge processor. With 64GB SSD Storage and 1TB of Cloud Storage it focuses clearly on heavy cloud usage. With a built in SIM Card Slot it offers 3G support for internet on the go. Combining the 59Wh battery with the powersavings of Chrome OS this means some long lasting sessions on one charge.

The Dell Latitude 12 E7250 is a high quality carbon fibre cased 12.5 inch screen laptop primarily aimed at the business sector, solidly built with premium materials. The version specified here is near the top end of customisation for the device with a Core i5 5300U cpu, full HD glossy touch screen with Corning Gorilla glass protection, 256GB storage and subsequent price.

Toshiba CB30-B-104, 13.3 inch, 1350 grams (2.98 lbs)
This Toshiba CB30 Chromebook model has a full HD IPS screen and its weight is ok for a 13.3 inch laptop but it's price may not be. The speaker system has been tuned by Skullcandy - is this is good thing? There is 100GB of cloud storage for 2 years and of course you get Google Docs as an office suite as well as the Chrome apps from the Web store.

Designed for primarily for the education sector, the Dell Latitude 3150 is a mini affordable laptop with latest Bay-Trail M processors. The processor choices include Pentium N3540 and Celeron N2840. The Celeron is a dual-core processor clocked at 2.16GHz with Burst technology support up to 2.58GHz. The Pentium is a quad-core processor with the same base frequency, but it can reach 2.66GHz with its Burst technology. The toughened construction includes a rubberized LCD and the base trim absorbs shock for superior drop protection. The solid state drive is designed without spinning parts, so it can withstand accidental drops and bumps.

HP Stream 11.6, 11.6 inch, 1300 grams (2.87 lbs)
The HP Stream 11.6-Inch and 13.3-inch notebooks are raising the bar on the cloud-based windows PC category that HP and Microsoft created last year with new slimmer designs, vibrant colors (again) and the addition of Intel processors (again!). It is in the market to compete with low cost Chromebooks. In regard to connectivity it features Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi b/g/n.
